Morello’s towed industrial trailers are designed to handle a wide range of heavy, bulky or special loads, even in plants where maneuvering space is limited.

These trailers support internal transport operations and can be configured according to the characteristics of the load and the operating conditions. Depending on the application, Morello can develop steering trailers or special trailer configurations with dedicated features, superstructures and custom shapes for complex handling requirements.

Types of towed industrial trailers

Morello designs different trailer configurations according to the handling process and the available space inside the plant.

For standard heavy-load transport, a flat-deck heavy-duty towed trailer can be used to move large components, materials or equipment between different operating areas. The loading platform can be adapted to the shape and dimensions of the load, with dedicated features developed for the specific transport requirement.

For operations in confined spaces, a range of steering trailers is available with center-corrected steering geometry, designed to minimize the turning radius. This configuration improves maneuverability when the trailer must operate in areas with limited space or follow precise internal routes.

For handling loads with a high or off-center center of gravity, steering trailers can be equipped with telescopic supports instead of a ball-bearing fifth wheel. This solution helps improve stability during transport and makes the trailer suitable for loads that require additional support.

For special load handling, Morello designs industrial trailers with dedicated features, superstructures and custom shapes developed to solve specific customer transport requirements.

Load capacities and trailer configuration

Load capacities range from 0 to 500 tons, depending on the trailer configuration. Each project is then evaluated according to the weight, dimensions and center of gravity of the load, as well as the route, floor conditions, towing method and frequency of use.

To operate on uneven floors, industrial trailers can be fitted with superelastic or pneumatic tyres. The choice of tyres is defined according to the working environment, the type of surface and the load to be transported.

Each industrial trailer for tow trucks can be developed to match the customer’s towing vehicle, taking into account connection type, maneuvering requirements and safety needs. This allows the trailer to be integrated into existing logistics flows while maintaining a simple and reliable handling process.
