Morello designed and manufactured n°2 electric powered carts for a steel Company in USA.
These battery powered trolleys will be used to transport semi-finished and finished steel products up to 40 tons for each trolley.
They have both front and rear axle steering by 35°, to greatly reduce the steering radius, in order to easily move also in very tight spaces.
These electric powered carts can be easily controlled by a potentiometric wireless remote controller that allows a stepless speed variation and a very high positioning accuracy. It is also supplied a wired pendant controller as a backup, in case of remote controller failure or low battery.
Each electric powered cart has a LCD panel view that shows information on wheels steering angle, failure notices and general status of the trolley.
The loading deck is covered by n°4 removable treated wood beams , used to avoid any damage to the load to transport. On both long sides there are removable vertical beams to contain the load when necessary.
These electric powered carts are powered by a lead-acid battery that allows up to 4 hours of continuous operation. The battery can be quickly changed with a spare one to continuing operations when it is low and need to be charged. On request it is possible to equip these transport carts with bigger batteries to increase autonomy.

Morello designed and manufactured for an important steel mill in Germany, an electro-hydraulic load upender to tilt by 90° steel products.
This kind of machine is becoming increasingly popular in every manufacturing industry with heavy loads to turn. It allows to tilts loads in a quick and extremely safe way, avoiding load suspensions and others hazardous operations.
This electro-hydraulic tilter is very strong made due to the harsh condition in which it has to work in.
For this reason the dead weight of this load upender exceed the 30 tons and the loading decks are covered by a 50 mm steel plate.
This tilter it is not just strong but it also has very good performance. It can turn by 90° 80 tons of steel in just 60 seconds, thanks to n°2 Siemens motors and a total power of 60 kW.
If a motor fail for any reason, it is possible to continue operations with just one motor at half speed.
The tilting is performed by n°4 oversized hydraulic cylinders, powered by an hydraulic unit composed mainly by Bosch Rexroth equipment. The hydraulic unit is equipped with a properly sized tub for oil collection.
This upender can be controlled by a remote controller or by a wired pendant panel.
To guarantee the safety of the workers this load upender is equipped with n° 2 laser scanner with a reading angle of 270°. If a person gets too close to the tilter during operations, the laser scanner detects him and stop the movement.

Morello designed and manufactured an electric motorised trolley to the automotive industry.
It can transport dies and moulds and other heavy materials up to 16 tons.
This battery powered trolley is very compact despite its loading capacity. Thanks to its dimension it can easily move inside the plants even in very small spaces.
The front axle can steer by ±45° thanks to an hydraulic cylinder powered by an electro-hydraulic unit.
The steering is the Ackermann steering type: the two steering wheels have a different turning angle in order to converge in the same point on the rear axle line and avoid an early wheels consumption.
This electric motorised trolley is equipped with polyurethane wheels with a diameter big enough to easily travel on small bumps and gaps.
This battery motorised trolley can be commanded by a potentiometric radio remote controller; the speed can be continuously adjusted thanks to the potentiometer allowing millimetric movements and a very precise maneuverability.
As a backup it is also supplied a wired pendant controller that can be plugged to both side of the cart to the operator driving comfort.
The loading deck is completely covered by a removable hard plywood. This covering is studied to prevent damages to the transported load and to avoid its slipping.
On each side of the platform there are n°2 fixing points, useful to fix the transported load by stripes.

Morello designed and manufactured an electric heavy duty platform trolley to transport heavy al long materials inside a shipyard.
This battery powered trolley is studied to transport loads over 12 meters long all around the shipyard plant as indoor as outdoor.
Due to its big diameter wheels in hard rubber this electric heavy duty platform trolley has no problem to move on asphalt and of course it is also perfect to travel on concrete and resin floors.
It is environmental friendly since it is powered by a battery; that’s why it can work even indoor without any restriction.
Morello can use different kind of batteries according to customer needs. To decrease the recharging time and to have longer battery life it is possible to equip a Lithium battery; if the price is the choice driver than a standard lead-acid and gel battery are a good solution.
To reduce battery consumption it is equipped with electric motors that regenerate energy during braking.
This battery heavy duty platform trolley can be controlled by a wired pendant panel and, on request, by a wireless remote controller in order to allow a completely freedom of movement to the operator.
This trolley is quite big and to guarantee safety of the other workers there are n°2 sensitive bumpers (one front and one rear) that safely stop the platform trolley in case of collision with a person or an object.
The loading platform is covered with removable hard wood to protect the transported load from scratches.
